Automatically Generate Animated Subtitles from Audio in DaVinci Resolve

Da Vinci Resolve includes a powerful feature called "Generate Subtitles from Audio", allowing you to create subtitles directly from your video’s audio track. This is incredibly useful for enhancing accessibility, SEO, or viewer engagement.
Follow the steps below to easily generate subtitles from audio:
Go to Timeline
> AI Tools
> Create Subtitles from Audio
.
In the settings panel, you can change the subtitle settings if needed. For this guide, we'll proceed with the default settings.
Da Vinci Resolve will now automatically generate the subtitles.
Once generation is complete, you’ll see the subtitles in the timeline. Double-click on the subtitle track to open the Subtitle Inspector panel on the right.
Open the Effects
panel and navigate to the Subtitle
section. You’ll find two types of subtitles: Static
and Animated
.
Drag and drop one of the animated subtitle styles onto the subtitle track.
Use the Subtitle Inspector panel to customize the animation and appearance settings.
